The International Islamic World Health Tourism Council, which we organized as Alanya Health Tourism Association, has been completed with great success by bringing together more than 300 participants from 56 Islamic countries around the world. This event was carried out in order to increase the cooperation of health tourism among Islamic countries, to direct patient mobility to our country and to increase the business volume in the sector.
Our country is in a worldwide in the field of health and health tourism and acts as a leading country in the Islamic geography where we are in cultural and faith unity. In line with this mission, the Council, which we organized, brought together people and institutions interested in health tourism in Islamic geography and reinforced Turkey's flagship position in this field. Our main aim is to ensure that patients in the Islamic Union are being treated in public and private health institutions in Turkey and to support the provision of international health services in accordance with Islamic rules and lifestyle.

Within the scope of the B2B (Job Meetings) held during the Council, more than 300 meetings were held and representatives operating in the health tourism sector came together with the decision -makers from Islamic countries and evaluated their cooperation opportunities. These negotiations have been an important strategic step in the Islamic world to strengthen Turkey's leadership in the field of health tourism and to integrate with other countries.

One of the important objectives of the council is that countries with advanced health infrastructure and technical knowledge are integrated with other Islamic countries. In addition, it is aimed to increase the quality of service and to strengthen health tourism policies with government and state support by establishing an internationally validal association. In this respect, concrete steps have been taken in order to develop health tourism policies and to ensure patient mobility.

Scientific sessions and panel discussions organized throughout the event have enabled intense exchange of information between sector representatives, academics, universities, non -governmental organizations and relevant ministries. Important opportunities have been created for the best promotion of Turkey's public and private health investments to the Islamic world.

As a result, this Council contributed to the further development of the sector by reinforcing Turkey's leading position in the field of health tourism, as well as laying the foundations of new collaborations and social health projects with Islamic countries.

Upon the invitation of Vytautas Laurinaitis, the Mayor of Silute, the sister city of Silute in Lithuania in Alanya, made a study visit to Lithuania with the program organized in the organization of Alanya Municipality and Alanya State Hospital and made a study visit to the country's health facilities. During the visit, Silute Regional Hospital Chief Physician Darius Steponkus accompanied the delegation. President of the Arab Tourism Association Bandar Fahad Al-Fehaid emphasized how important participation in the summit is, the interest of Arab tourists in Turkey has increased and this summit will strengthen the potential of health tourism especially for Antalya and Alanya. He also stated that Arab investors' interest in Turkey continues to increase.

Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA) Secretary General Mehmet Sırrı Özen, in his assessment after the summit, said that they believe that the interest of Arab tourists will increase in Antalya and that Alanya will reach a wider audience with such activities.
